CDJR Naperville Donates $1,000 in Supplies to Hesed House
On August 27, 2026, CDJR Naperville donated $1,000 worth of supplies to Hesed House in Aurora.
The donation included backpacks, school supplies, markers, glasses, lotion, and other everyday items that can be used by individuals and families staying at Hesed House.
Our General Manager, David Macione , also helped deliver the supplies to Hesed House.
For our team, this was a simple way to support an organization doing important work in a community close to our dealership.
Supporting Hesed House in Aurora
Hesed House is the second-largest homeless shelter in Illinois and serves more than 1,000 people each year.
The organization provides emergency shelter, meals, housing resources, case management, and other services for people experiencing homelessness. Hesed House is also the only low-threshold emergency shelter in Illinois with no waitlist. That means people facing homelessness can have access to emergency shelter without having to wait for an opening.
The organization also recently expanded its adult shelter and increased its capacity to 280 beds. That growth allows Hesed House to help even more people throughout Aurora and the surrounding communities.
Donating Items That Can Be Used Right Away
Our donation focused on everyday supplies that can be put to use by Hesed House guests. Backpacks and school supplies can help children and families prepare for school. Personal care items can help people maintain their routines while staying in shelter.
Other supplies can help Hesed House continue meeting the day-to-day needs of the people who rely on its programs. These are simple items, but they can still make a real difference.
Giving Back Close to Home
Hesed House is located in Aurora, not far from CDJR Naperville. That made supporting them even more meaningful for our team. The work they do goes far beyond providing a bed for the night. Their team helps people find resources, regain stability, and work toward permanent housing.
